Art Study for Homeschoolers- part 1

I love teaching art. I enjoy seeing kids who think they can’t draw… achieve good results. One of the many techniques that I use to help kids draw is the grid. We take a clear sheet of plastic and use a permanent marker to draw grid lines on it. We find what we want to draw – anything from a photo to a small object – then we draw grid lines on our paper. We lay that clear plastic grid lines on top of the photo – then start with an easy section of the grid and reproduce just that area on your paper. Think lines, circles and dots… before you know it you ‘ll be suprised at how great your drawing is!

  1. Very good idea! I have one of those who feels they cannot draw {I know otherwise *wink*} and this might be the way to help!
